The way children dress when they come to school is important both to the individual child and to the collective atmosphere of the school.

We believe that by wearing a school uniform with pride children identify with their school, are given a sense of belonging, feel practical and smart, have a positive work ethos and the expenditure for parents/carers is reduced

ALL items of clothing must be named.

Jewellery, Hair and Nails

  • The only jewellery children are allowed to wear is a wristwatch and small, plain stud earrings.
  • All jewellery must be removed by the child before any form of physical activity.
  • Staff are not permitted to remove or look after jewellery.
  • If your child wishes to have their ears pierced, please consider having this done at the beginning of the summer holidays then the earrings can be removed for PE lessons.
  • Boys and girls with shoulder-length (or longer) hair must wear it tied back in a ponytail, plaits or bunches, using plain black, navy, green or white hair bobbles and headbands.
  • Children should not have colourants, patterns, lines or words shaved into their hair during term time.
  • Children must not wear nail varnish to school.
