Pupils at Daven Primary School benefit from the amazing outdoor spaces on our school grounds. We also have fantastic play equipment and a vast range of sporting activities available for playtimes.
We don’t need to venture far to explore wildlife as we have an exception forest school area on site. This provision provides time and space for children to appreciate the awe and wonder of the outdoors – they have the freedom to explore this space all year round, in all weathers. The forest school area develops life-long skills too; our children learn how to problem solve, be creative, work together as well as developing independence skills.
With our links to Chester Zoo and the Wildlife Connections Project, as well as an school eco-ambassadors and gardening club, the forest school area and other green spaces on our school grounds are becoming increasingly wile-life friendly. We want conversation to ‘start at home’ so creating spaces for wildlife to thrive is important for us to play our part in creating a sustainable future.
